One of the nice things about asking for help with hurricane relief (check yesterday's entry for an exciting prize pack offer) is that I sometimes hear from people who I hadn't heard from in a while. People whom I had no idea were regular journal readers (Hi Amy). Which is very cool.

This actually happens quite a bit when I'm out and about. Bowling alleys, dog shows, impeachment hearings - it seems like no matter where I go, someone who I haven't seen in years or a friend of a friend tells me "Hey, I read the journal, man." It's a gratifying feeling...

... until I remember what exactly it is that I write in this thing every day. I occasionally peruse through the archives and am often shocked by the vile and frankly amoral spew that I bellow out. I mean, I told my mother to suck my dick. I'm not exactly presenting myself well here for potential future employers, dates or parole officers.

So I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you all that the real me isn't nearly as putrid and hateful as you would think from reading this space. I'm kind to children and really like puppies and baby ducks. And I would never EVER tell my mother to suck my dick in real life. Everyone knows she gives terrible head.

Maura and I will be happy to update this board on The OC after the episode takes place. Maybe I'll even throw in some medical expertise gleaned from my three weeks of med school (like, did you see in the commercial that Trey was intubated?? That means he may not be dead! Kwayzee!).

Trey's totally not dead. My money says that entire story arc is resolved in the first two minutes of the show.

[SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER]

Trey, of course, is NOT dead. And yes, just like the Marissa passed out in an alley in Tijuana problem, it was resolved by the end of the episode clean and clear. Ryan safe and sound, together with Marissa, Trey on a bus out of Newport. Tra-laaaaa!

Some highlights:
-Sooo many braids! Maura was avant-garde last week and was already wearing them. I may wear them tomorrow as an homage to both The OC and Maura Flight. Do you think it will clinch my candidancy for Student Senate? Yeah, I think so too.

-Jimmy once again had the opportunity to be the hero and he BLEW it. Goddamn it. Just when I was getting used to having my crush on Tate Donovan again.

-Yea or nay on Summer's Scottie Dog bikini? Maura and I agreed that we couldn't tell if we hated it or we loved it. But we DEFinitely loved Marissa's bikini in the first pool scene, her big sunglasses (even though they are so on the way out), and the great green dress with the skinny gold belt. I want.

-Jeri Ryan: wanting to destroy Kirsten and her happy life so she is as miserable and stuck in rehab as Jeri (oh, sorry, Charlotte - and like, what? Her name so clearly isn't Charlotte) is? Or, wanting to destroy Kirsten by getting involved in a lesbian relationship with her? Discuss.

And I'm spent.

Screw the OC. I'm still happily watching 90210 reruns.

Missed the premiere, unfortunately...but I did tape it. Any update on Seth and Summer? Did they break up again in this episode, or are they still together?

Jesus Christ. What has happened to my journal?

We've never had a non-Stacy-involved thread go off-topic this greivously.

Shame, people.

We should have a running OC thread on the message board.
