Local music rag Metroland put together an Albany all-star night to benefit the local food bank - all proceeds from the night were donated and all the bands played for free. In addition to the crowd the benefit angle brought, the place was packed with friends and family from far and near, in town for Keith's nuptial celebration. A large crowd always gets the band going, and this night was no exception. The Highsocks started the night off with some edgy garage rock - and it's good to note that Scher still wears the same clothes he did in Playfair Roland. Scamper took the stage next and blasted through a set that inlcuded some old favorites for the home crowd, and a "new" tune familiar with the gang. All in all, Valentine's is fast becoming one the band's prime venues - be on the lookout for more Albany coverage... |
