Sometimes the amps need their alone time. Sometimes the drummer and the bassist would rather have a drink and watch the show instead of all the bother of playing. That sometime was this time, the Twisted Tuesday acoustic series. We know what you're thinking. A Scamper show without guitar players leaping off amps? Without synchronized headbanging? Without Phil Spector's famous "wall of sound" guitar arrangements? Well, Phil Spector is in jail and that's just the way it is this time. Much props go out to our already loyal new fans; you know who you are, you cagey ink slingers you. Some classic material saw the light for this show, including the sweet Diving Into Air and the decidedly non-sweet The Detergents. As promised, everyone in the crowd got free Keith & Nate acoustic CDs. Next time: free Marc and Mike acoustic box sets. |
