Free show! Route 122! Pouring rain! Brave souls plowed through the second and third to get to the first, and they were greeted by a Scamper set that was around 40% new. By a strange coincidence, longtime Scamper pals Catapult ended up on the same bill, so Boston Mass was in the Island hizouse tonight. We got a feeling that the locals here felt they deserved good music from the Hub when passing through town, and they seemed to like us so that's a good sign. These are real people out here in Providence county, far enough away from the capital to write down their snail mail and not their email in the mailing list "address" slot. Yeah, they want the good rock, no frills. Scamper tried to oblige, and it's telling to note that no one was left watching ER in the far room once the band got rolling. Good luck to brethren in rock Catapult, dropping their record the day after the show and heading off to London (!) to charm the trousers off unsuspecting Brits. |
