I Ain't Been Sleeping Too Well
Greetings, Mets fans. Another week, another shakedown of the scene.
As for the week at hand:
Tues 10/2: While the Rudds cool their jets for a spell, John Powhida International Airport continues to take the town by storm. Catch them opening up the Paradise big room, 7:30p.
Weds 10/3: The Rationales close out the night at TT's, hopefully just around the time we see Jonathan Papelbon doing a fist pump and Vlad sulking back to the clubhouse.
Fri 10/5: WOOHOO. Baker, at long, long last, unleashes their full-length debut album, Bike Ride, at TT's. The Luxury and Self-Righteous Brothers open, and Sameer from Happy Endings spins fresh dance jams afterward.
I have a suspicion they're pulling a Scamper and growing moustaches for this.
First things first, word on the street is that the usually reliable tourfilter has gone and informed the world that Scamper will be appearing at the Abbey Lounge on October 19. This is both a bald-faced lie and indirectly kind of true. Our little pop ensemble will not be performing that night, but you will find me -- and my bandmates, I would hope -- there, partaking in the first annual Nate Diggity Birthday Rock Gala. I'm technically not allowed to promote it quite yet, as there may be some "bending" of some "two-week rules" going down, but suffice it to say that all my faves will be there, and you'd be a maroon to miss out.

Warning: TT's does not usually broadcast Red Sox games. The playoffs may be a different story, but this should definitely be taken into account if that's your plan.
Has Scamper secretly broken up? Is that why they are not playing the Abbey (or any where else) anytime soon?
