The Scene affords you (Ralphio) a peek into what he (Nate) deems to be hip in the Boston and national rock scenes: foxy bands, dope tunes, trendy trends. Get with it.

Your Problem is Becoming
Hot Downloads: fuse.tv
New tracks from The Submarines and Nada Surf were the highlights for me, but a lot of this music is dope.

Shows this Week:
Weds 1/23: Band of Horses @ The Paradise (Sold out, suckers)
Fri 1/25: Mary Lou Lord (note: not Traci Lords) @ The Cantab
Sat and Sun 1/26 and 1/27: The Click Five and Damone @ Bill's Bar. The Sunday show features our friends All These Kings as support.

Best for Last:
Some of you out there might recall (by virtue of it scarring your sensitive little retinae) my moment of Noise centerfold glory from spring 2006. Well, the party responsible for that hirsute assault on humanity, Ms. Liz Linder, has put together an art show, and yours truly is featured as a near life-sized pin-up. And it's not the centerfold shot -- no, it's that sneaky shot that she slipped into the back pages of the Noise, featuring my guitar case, argyle socks, and very little else.
I'm not sure even I want to see a life-size version of that, but if your sick curiosity gets the best of you, details are in the clickable invite below. Cha!

The Octagon are playing TT's (24/1) and Great Scott (27/1), too.

Just sayin'.
